Fascias & Soffits in Earley

Lower Earley was one of the largest private housing developments in Europe when it went up in the 1970s and 1980s, and thousands of its homes still have the timber fascias and soffits they were built with. Those boards are now old enough to rot, and because so many houses went up together, whole roads are reaching that point at once. In the older part of Earley around Whiteknights, Victorian and inter-war houses have their own worn eaves. We are about 4 miles away in Wokingham and work right across RG6.

The job begins with the gutters off and the old boards down, so the rafter ends can be checked for any decay that has spread inwards. New fascias are then fixed level to give the guttering a sound base, and new soffits close the eaves to the brickwork while keeping the airflow into the loft.
