Roofline Services

New Fascias, Soffits & Guttering

The roofline carries every drop of rain off the roof. When fascias rot, soffits split or gutters sag and leak, water ends up running down the walls and into the brickwork instead of away from the house.

New fascias and soffits give the gutters a sound board to fix to, and new guttering and downpipes are set to the right fall so water runs freely to the drains.

Gutters that are simply blocked or leaking at a joint can often be cleared and repaired instead. You get honest advice on which the job needs, and a FREE quotation either way.

When to Call

Signs Your Roofline Needs Attention

  • Gutters Overflowing

Water spilling over the edge when it rains points to a blockage, a sag or a gutter set to the wrong fall.

  • Leaking Joints

Drips at the joints and corners of the guttering stain the walls and soak into the brickwork below them.

  • Rotten or Flaking Fascias

Soft, split or peeling fascia boards can no longer hold the gutter brackets securely along the roof edge.

  • Damaged Soffits

Cracked, sagging or missing soffit boards let the weather, damp and nesting birds into the eaves of the house.

What Affects the Cost of Roofline Work

Every roof is different, so the price is worked out once the roof has been looked at rather than guessed over the phone. These are the things that move it.

Roofline Services work on a roof

FREE, No-Obligation Quotations

Every roof is looked at before it is priced, so the figure you get is the figure for your job. Your quotation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

  • Length of the Roofline

The total run of fascia, soffit and gutter around the house sets most of the cost.

  • Height & Access

Single-storey eaves are quicker to reach than the top of a three-storey house.

  • Replace or Repair

Clearing and resealing a gutter costs far less than replacing boards and guttering.

  • Downpipes & Corners

Extra outlets, corners and downpipes add parts and fitting time.

FAQs

Fascias, Soffits & Gutters Explained

What Is the Difference Between Fascias & Soffits?

Fascias are the boards along the edge of the roof that the gutters fix to. Soffits are the boards underneath, closing off the eaves between the fascia and the wall.

Do You Clean & Repair Gutters as Well as Replacing Them?

Yes. Blocked gutters can be cleared and leaking joints resealed. Replacement is only recommended when the guttering or the boards behind it have failed.

Why Does My Gutter Overflow When It Rains?

Usually because it is blocked, has sagged out of line or was fitted without enough fall to the downpipe. Each has a different fix, so the cause is checked first.

Can You Replace the Guttering at the Same Time as the Fascias?

Yes, and it is the best time to do it, because new guttering can then be fixed to sound new boards at the correct fall.

Do I Need Scaffolding for New Fascias & Soffits?

It depends on the height of the house and the access around it. The quotation will tell you exactly what access is needed and what it costs.
